Many of the beautiful antique cabinets that are found at LINDA HORN’s antique shop can be adapted and reconfigured to make a bar cabinet, a small television cabinet, a bedroom clothes or linen cabinet. Included in the inventory of 19th Century antique cabinets is a pair of black lacquered Sheraton style corner cabinets that are beautifully inlaid with fruitwood detailing. From the same period, there is an English birds eye maple breakfront or cabinet with bamboo detailing and several English bamboo display cabinets painted in the chinoiserie style. There is an unusual Victorian ship’s stateroom mahogany cabinet with brass top rail, cubbies for glasses and liquor, and large storage bins. A large European Napoleon III Boulle corner cabinet with curved front panel features marquetry of inlaid tortoise shell and brass with decorative cast brass figural mounts. Meanwhile, Linda’s country cabinets are all Dutch pine pieces including a Dutch pine country corner cabinet with glass fronted display shelves and a Dutch pine country kitchen or secretary cabinet. This hard-to-find old Dutch pine kitchen secretary has a dome top, open lattice work on the upper doors and a drop leaf desk front. There is always a large selection of antique cabinets in the LINDA HORN COLLECTION. |
